Sometimes we need a bit of help to find the property you are looking for and to then deliver your order.
Here are some of the steps we take to confirm the location of your property
Step 1: Check spam/ junk
First things first - Sometimes our confirmation emails are not delivered to your inbox but can be delivered to your spam or junk folders. Please check these.
Step 2: The address
When orders are placed - we often find that addresses are incomplete - it always helps us if you can confirm the full address including your full postcode.
Step 3: Check for old title numbers
If you have copies of older Land Registry documents - you can check these for a title number. This will be a series of unique letters and numbers that can identify your property. We can then check this title number against the official register.
Step 4: The What3 Words Service
Finally - We may ask you to use the What3 words service to help us locate the property.
This is a website that asks you to enter the postcode of the property you are looking for and then select a square on a digital map that relates to its location
We can then check this location against what is held on the official record and ask you to confirm via email if we have found the correct match.
We can then complete your order and deliver your documents.
